Wabbit hunting in the Himalayas as shown in Bugs Bunny, Dangerous Venture, inked and penciled by Carl Buettner in 1946. From Hero, Villain, Yeti, an upcoming show at the Rubin Museum about the image of Tibet, real or imagined, in comic books over the last 60 years. The comics (many translated into English for the first time) feature the fantasy figures of the show’s title as well as depictions of real-life holy and political figures like Buddha and the Dalai Lama.
